Want to level up your video? Meet the FVDEM Tips section

At the Festival of Videos in Mathematics Education (FVDEM), we know that the way an idea is presented — its technical execution — is fundamental for the message to be transmitted with clarity and impact. So, how do we ensure technology is an ally, and not a barrier?

With the aim of supporting students, teachers, and enthusiasts in producing their content, the FVDEM website maintains a section dedicated exclusively to practical tutorials: the "Tips for your video" tab.

This section acts like an editing "toolkit," focused on quickly and objectively solving the most common post-production challenges. Using accessible software like CapCut, the tutorials already available cover a wide range of needs:

  • How to add a voiceover to the video;

  • How to generate and edit automatic captions (essential for accessibility);

  • Techniques to extract audio from a clip;

  • How to adjust video speed;

  • How to create an attractive thumbnail for your project;

  • And even how to insert end credits or remove unwanted watermarks.

And this library of resources keeps growing. We are excited to add a new tutorial addressing one of the most sensitive points of audiovisual production: how to find and download copyright-free music.

Many content producers face the challenge of finding soundtracks that set the mood of the video without infringing copyrights — a problem that can lead to the disqualification of a work or the muting of the video on digital platforms. Our new practical guide aims to solve exactly this issue, ensuring your project has a professional and safe finish.

FVDEM's goal is to foster Mathematics Education through audiovisual media as well. By offering these resources, we want to ensure that good ideas get the technical polish they deserve.

We invite the whole community to explore this section. Whether you are a beginner in editing or someone looking to perfect your workflow, these tips were made to help.
